Course Aims and Objectives:

armwrestling 2Stress and mental health problems are the now the biggest cause of sickness absence in the UK today and the recession and constant change has had a significant impact with private sector companies averaging absence levels of 8 days per employee.

Organisations have a legal responsibility to have systems to manage stress in the workplace and incorporating initiatives as part of a bigger health and wellbeing agenda can be very effective.

The key to managing stress is in understanding it.  When people understand the issues, they can then start to manage it, improving the quality of not only their own life, but those they manage.

This course is designed to equip delegates with the knowledge and understanding required in order to identify and manage stress and pressure in the workplace, as well as understanding the business benefits of investing in the health and wellbeing of staff.
